Tour 2: Explore e-technologies

Check avaiable e-learning strategies, look inside a sample course, compare main delivery options and sample more tools (allow two hours).

1. Review e-learning technologies	To get an overview of some of the main technologies used for e-learning: Go to the Gallery of strategies and select View all and pick one of these: 'Learning management system' (LMS) or 'Virtual classroom'. View the Samples at the top and then scroll down to find out why, how and with what. Now complete the *Gallery webquest* .	Gallery webquest quiz (Word doc 60KB)
2. Investigate a sample e-learning design	To look at a sample course: Click the Sample designs tab and pick a box for one of the seven sample designs. Read the summary, then click on the Story and listen to the designer's description of how the course works. Open the Map and check the delivery options used (the horizontal coloured bands). Still on the Map, see if you can identify how many different e-learning strategies are used in this design (for content, activities, support and assessment).
