What to do

What you'll need from the travel pack

1. Check the types of e-learning

E-learning is quite hard to define, but we need to have some idea of what we're talking about. A useful approach is to look at the main types common in organisations and training providers.

  • Take a look at the resource describing the Types of e-learning.
  • Complete the Which types are you? worksheet to clarify which areas of e-learning are relevant to your organisation or setting.

  • Go to the Gallery of strategies and select the View all tab and select one of e-learning strategies listed .
  • View the Samples at the top and then scroll down to find out why, how and with what.
  • Now complete the Gallery webquest.

  • Click the Sample designs tab and select the first design, the Medical Terminology course.
  • Click on the Story and listen to Lyn’s description of how the course works, then complete the Building an online community checklist.
