Cert III Water Industry Operations

Water Industry Training Coordinator, SunWater, Bundaberg - Tracie Regan

Approach

Certificate III Water Industry Operations is a blended delivery model using online materials, face-to-face sessions, onsite and online mentoring and assessment. The online components cover the underpinning knowledge of processes and procedures involved in the bulk water supply industry. The course uses online communication tools to support learning and to encourage learners to work collaboratively while building knowledge specific to the water industry.

Design

In the story Tracie talks about the challenges of providing training to a geographically dispersed work force and describes how she worked with a partnering RTO to design and deliver the course.

Comments

‘It makes sense in particular to deliver underpinning knowledge via e-learning. You don’t have to incorporate fancy animation or sound in the e-learning material, just make sure you are producing a product based on adult learning principles and incorporate activities that will inspire the learner’. Anne Ernst - Manager, Business Improvement, SunWater, Brisbane
